"As a bribe". A man was detained while handing over gold bars to an employee of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB)

A man has been detained in Kyrgyzstan who is suspected of attempting to bribe an employee of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). According to the press center of the GKNB, the incident occurred on February 23.

The detained individual was identified as D. R. E., born in 1978, who, according to information, handed over two gold bars weighing 200 grams each to a GKNB employee. This action, according to the investigation, was an attempt to bribe for a favorable decision in a criminal case.

At the moment, the detained individual has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB, and investigative actions are ongoing.
