A complaint from a citizen of the capital was received by the police on February 4. According to his account, on May 16, 2025, he purchased a "Hyundai Grandeur" for the amount of $8,300. However, soon after, the legitimate owner of the vehicle approached him and took the car back. It turned out that the purchase was made on a rented vehicle.
This incident was classified as a crime under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
Law enforcement authorities detained T.K., born in 1986, who is now in a temporary detention facility.
During the investigation, possible connections of the detainee to other similar crimes are being established.
