28-year-old resident of Jumgal committed suicide: A story linking him to a fellow villager has emerged
Relatives of Süünbek claim that the local police officer also bears some responsibility for the incident, as he did not take actions that could have prevented the tragedy. According to the deceased's uncle, Mayrambek Kirkiev, the woman named T. had repeatedly approached Süünbek with threats, referring to statements made to the police regarding their alleged past relationship, and demanded money.
Süünbek, who married Aysalkyn in January of this year, was caring for three family members with disabilities and received support through a "social contract" program, which allowed him to start engaging in livestock farming. However, villagers express concerns that those responsible may escape punishment and that the case will be covered up.
After the tragedy, relatives and a group of local residents appealed to the police to initiate a criminal case, conduct interrogations, and take fair measures. A social worker from Baizak also confirmed that the family is registered, as three people with disabilities live in the house.
It should be noted that after the incident, the deceased's father and his seriously ill brother remained in the house, while the mother is undergoing treatment in Bishkek. Relatives also reported that the woman T. is currently in Bishkek and is allegedly able to leave the country with a visa.
The investigator from the Jumgal District Department of Internal Affairs stated that the case materials will be reviewed, and the woman will be brought in for necessary procedural actions. The press service of the Naryn Region Internal Affairs Department also reported that on February 13, 2026, information about the suicide of a resident of the Jumgal district was received at the duty station. An operational investigative group went to the scene, where the fact of the suicide of a man born in 1998 was registered.
“Currently, appropriate investigative actions are being carried out,” the police added.
