The accident took place at the intersection of 7 April and Ablesov streets when the deputy's daughter, driving a "Honda Fit" at a speed of 40 km/h, was entering the highway. At that moment, her car was struck by an SUV "Lexus," driven by an 18-year-old girl. Arriving at the scene, the traffic police did not call an ambulance, even though the victim sustained a head injury and severe bleeding. Relatives, who arrived 2.5 hours later, called for an ambulance, and the victim was urgently hospitalized. She is currently under medical supervision and requires serious treatment, the deputy clarified.
According to the victim's mother, representatives of the traffic police and relatives of the second participant attempted to pressure her daughter, persuading her not to report the accident.
Preliminary data indicate the absence of a brake mark from the "Lexus." Although there are "Safe City" cameras installed in that area, the operational management office reported that they were not functioning at the time of the accident. The victim's relatives suspect that this may be an attempt to conceal a serious violation of the speed limit.Atambaev noted that the second participant in the accident is the sister of the akim of the Alamudun district, and their father is a current deputy of the Bishkek city kenesh. This raises suspicions of bias in the investigation, and they demand an objective inquiry.
