It became known that a local resident contacted the Lenin District Prosecutor's Office with a statement that a certain man promised to deliver him an electric car of the "Kernan" brand. For this, he handed over $25,000, but ultimately was deceived.
This incident was registered under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The law enforcement authorities arrested the suspect, known as B.A., born in 1984. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.
