One of the eyewitnesses of the incident called for action, demanding that the construction company be stripped of its license.
“I appeal to President Sadyr Japarov as the guarantor of the Constitution, asking him to stop this disgrace! If the company Central Asia Invest cannot reliably install a fence, how were they entrusted with the construction of a 12-story building?” — stated a local resident. The incident occurred on Kuyukov Street, 10, when the fence fell onto a residential house, which could have led to tragic consequences. Metal structures and concrete blocks fell onto the roof of the house. The roof was severely damaged, and the fence was destroyed. Both adults and children could have been trapped under the debris, while nearby, small children were playing. “The most frightening thing is that a gas pipe could have been damaged,” he added.
He also noted that according to the General Plan, the construction of buildings higher than three stories is not permitted on this site.
“Nevertheless, buildings 12-14 stories high are being constructed in close proximity to private homes, which creates a constant danger for residents. Where is the oversight from the authorities? Why does the Ministry of Construction ignore such violations?” — questioned the local resident.
