In Bishkek, 124 people died in traffic accidents in 2025

According to information provided by the senior prosecutor of the Bishkek Prosecutor's Office, Eradil Asybekov, in 2025, there were 4,029 traffic accidents in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The data was published on February 19 by the editorial team of "AKIpress Summary."

Of the total number of accidents, 120 cases resulted in fatalities, leading to the death of 124 people.

As reported by Bekbolotov, 45 criminal cases were initiated regarding the fatal traffic accidents, while decisions to initiate cases were rejected in 75 instances.

“In eight cases, this was due to the absence of a crime, and in 67 cases, it was because the victim did not file a complaint,” Bekbolotov clarified.
