It is noted that the majority of foreigners participating in the hostilities hold passports from the USA or European countries. Since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, sources report that the death toll in Gaza has exceeded 72,061 people.

Human rights organizations around the world are actively discussing the need to hold foreign citizens accountable who may have participated in potential war crimes on the territory of Gaza. Some of these servicemen post videos on social media demonstrating their actions.

According to Al Jazeera, there are at least 12,135 U.S. citizens serving in the Israeli army, which is the highest figure. Additionally, there are 1,207 individuals with U.S. citizenship, as well as citizenship from Israel and another country, in the ranks of the Israeli armed forces.

France ranks second in terms of the number of participants, with 6,127 citizens, followed by Russia with 5,067. Moreover, the Israeli army includes 3,901 German citizens, 3,210 Ukrainians, 1,686 Britons, and 1,675 Romanians.

Uzbekistan ranks 27th among 126 countries in terms of the number of its citizens in the Israeli army. Of these, 264 individuals hold dual citizenship (Uzbekistan and Israel), and another 5 have multiple citizenships.

It is important to note that the legislation of all Central Asian countries provides for criminal penalties for serving in foreign armed forces and mercenarism.
