In Uzbekistan, drug couriers transporting drugs through Kyrgyzstan have been detained

Employees of the SBON of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, together with their colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, conducted a special operation during which the activities of an international criminal group engaged in smuggling large volumes of drugs from Afghanistan through the territory of Kyrgyzstan into Uzbekistan were stopped.

In February, in the territory of Boston in the Andijan region, law enforcement agencies detained four citizens of Uzbekistan: A.A.R. (born in 1996), D.Z.P. (born in 1990), D.R.N. (born in 1980), and Sh.Sh.T. (born in 1981). They were all in a Daewoo Nexia vehicle, and during a search, 9 kg 444 grams of hashish were found in their possession. The detainees were placed in a temporary detention facility.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other participants in the criminal scheme.
