Searches were conducted in the Tyup District: weapons, drugs, and nets seized in four villages

Employees of the Tyup District Internal Affairs Department conducted searches as part of a criminal case initiated under Article 267 ("Illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As reported by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, the searches were carried out based on decisions made by the Tyup District Court on February 14, 2026. As a result of the raids on the homes of suspects in several villages of the district, prohibited items and narcotic substances were found.

One of the searches was conducted in the home of a man born in 1959, where operatives found and seized:

- parts of a firearm of the "Gek" brand;

- a sawed-off hunting rifle IZH-28;

- ammunition of various calibers;

- about 1.7 kg of a substance with a characteristic smell of wild hemp.

In the village of Tyup, in the house of a man born in 1982, 15 spent cartridges and a significant stock of prohibited fishing gear were discovered:

- a "Nebat" net 50 meters long;

- 6 synthetic nets with a total length of 600 meters.

Additionally, in the villages of Ak-Bulak and Mikhailovka, law enforcement officers conducted searches in the homes of residents born in 1986 and 1988. In Ak-Bulak, 5 synthetic nets measuring 500 meters were seized, while in Mikhailovka, a plastic bag containing a crushed substance with a characteristic smell of hemp was found.

All collected items and substances have been recognized as physical evidence. Currently, forensic examinations have been appointed, and the investigation is ongoing to clarify all circumstances of the case and the possible involvement of the detainees in other crimes.
