In Bishkek, in the Upper Jala area, a tragic incident occurred: on February 16, 2026, at 07:30, a driver of a "KIA K5" vehicle, a man born in 1990 named S.K., hit a young girl. She, born in 2004, named F.A., was crossing the road in an easterly direction when the driver was making a left turn on Tynalieva Street.
Unfortunately, as a result of the collision, the girl sustained severe injuries and died at the scene.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 312 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning violations of traffic safety rules that led to serious consequences. The suspect was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The vehicle involved in the accident has been placed in a specialized impound lot, and necessary examinations have been appointed.
