On the Issyk-Kul Highway, a bus with 45 passengers collided with a horse

On the night of February 13, a traffic accident involving passenger transport occurred on the Karakol—Bishkek highway. A horse ran out in front of a scheduled bus between the villages of Darkan and Jenish in the Jeti-Oguz district.

According to preliminary data, there were between 40 and 45 passengers on board the "Setra" bus. Eyewitnesses of the incident express outrage on social media over the negligence of livestock owners who leave animals unattended near busy roads at night.

The Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region officially confirmed the fact of the accident. On February 13, 2026, at approximately 21:43, a bus traveling west collided with a horse that suddenly ran onto the roadway. An investigative operational group was dispatched to the scene.

No one on the bus was injured. The bus sustained serious mechanical damage (significant material damage was caused).

Currently, police officers are conducting an investigation.
