According to Zheleznyak, the cause of this incident could be the food in the parliament cafeteria. Additionally, local media emphasize that there is an outbreak of rotavirus in Ukraine.

The deputy noted that "dozens of people" in his faction have been poisoned, exhibiting symptoms such as high fever (up to 40 degrees), vomiting, and diarrhea. He has no information about the condition of deputies from other factions.

Due to the lack of quorum, the Verkhovna Rada was forced to suspend its sessions until February 24.
