In the Issyk-Kul region, facts of illegal storage of drugs and weapons have been uncovered.

According to information provided by the press service of the regional police department, on January 30, operational information was received at the Issyk-Kul regional police department regarding illegal hunting carried out by some residents of the Jeti-Oguz district. This information was entered into the Unified Register of the Issyk-Kul regional police department, which served as the basis for initiating a criminal case under Article 310 ("Illegal hunting or fishing of fish or aquatic animals").

During the investigation, on January 30, officers of the tourism and environmental police conducted an urgent search at the home of citizen L.V., born in 1967, who lives in the village of Tamga.

During the search, a substance with a characteristic smell of cannabis, resembling dried cannabis leaves, was found in a wooden box and plastic bags. The total amount of the seized substance was 3 kg 695 grams, and a forensic chemical examination was appointed.

Additionally, in the home of a resident of the village of Barskoon, citizen K.R., born in 1975, illegally stored rifled firearm model TOZ-8 was discovered and seized.

According to the results of the forensic chemical examination, the substance found in L.V.'s home is a narcotic drug — marijuana.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
