According to the press service of the regional Internal Affairs Directorate, on January 13, 2026, information was received at the Internal Affairs Office of the Issyk-Kul district that some residents of the district were illegally storing firearms.
This fact was registered in the Unified Register of the Internal Affairs Office of the Issyk-Kul district, after which a criminal case was initiated based on Article 267 ("Illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition") of the Criminal Code.
Employees of the district internal affairs department conducted operational searches at the residences of the suspected individuals as part of the preventive measure "Arsenal."
In the house of citizen Z.S., born in 1994, in the village of Chon-Oruktu, a smoothbore double-barreled shotgun of 16 caliber was discovered and seized.
At the address of citizen I.Z., born in 1971, in the village of Kozhoyar, two bags containing a substance with a characteristic smell of cannabis were found. This substance was also seized and sent for examination.
According to the experts' conclusion, the seized substance turned out to be a concentrate of cannabis straw (marijuana).
