At a recent meeting of the Ministry of Education, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktay Urmambetov presented data on cases of suicide among adolescents in 2025.

According to his information, in 2024, there were 101 recorded cases of suicide among youth.

The distribution by regions is as follows:

Jalal-Abad Region — 20 cases

Chui Region — 18 cases

Issyk-Kul Region — 18 cases

Batken Region — 13 cases

Bishkek — 12 cases

Osh Region — 10 cases

Talas Region — 5 cases

City of Osh — 3 cases

Naryn Region — 2 cases.
