Ulanbek Aitbaev, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, appealed to Mederbeksatyev, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, asking for help in restoring justice in his case.
In 2023, he transferred three cars to another citizen but has still been unable to retrieve them or receive payment for them. "We have been in legal proceedings for several years. The Lenin District Court found the defendant guilty but only ordered compensation for two cars and imposed a fine of 120,000 soms," Aitbaev recounts.
Additionally, he reported that he appealed to the Bishkek City Court, which also found the defendant guilty, imposed probation supervision, and ordered the payment of the amount for the three cars to Aitbaev within a year.
However, the defendant filed an appeal to the Supreme Court requesting to overturn the probation decision and to uphold only the fine imposed by the Lenin District Court.
According to Ulanbek, the Supreme Court has already postponed the hearing twice without prior notice to him and his lawyer. "We are losing faith in the courts and starting to think that they may be biased. Therefore, I turn to you, esteemed Chairman. The President of our country has initiated reforms in the judicial system and appointed you to this position. I ask you to consider my case with honesty, legality, and fairness. I am currently working in Europe, having left my children and parents behind. I was deceived and went into debt to acquire these cars. Now, to pay off my debts, I am forced to work abroad," Aitbaev concluded.
