Berdibaev emphasized that such calls may come from cybercriminals posing as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Committee for National Security, or the National Bank with the aim of deceiving and extorting large sums of money.
According to him, the most vulnerable groups of the population are Russian-speaking citizens, elderly people, as well as officials of state and municipal institutions.
In addition, he strongly recommends avoiding clicking on suspicious links to avoid falling for phishing tricks and being cautious with various lotteries and "investment" offers.
