Forgetting her phone, the woman came to the GKNB with cash
The incident that occurred with a resident of Bishkek serves as an example of how forgetfulness can save one from financial losses. This was reported by the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District.
According to law enforcement agencies, scammers, posing as acquaintances and employees of the "GKNB" and "National Bank," convinced a former teacher to sell her apartment, claiming that her name was being used to finance terrorists in Syria.
After the woman cashed the money, she headed to a shopping center to transfer the funds. However, forgetting her phone at home, she decided to stop by the GKNB building to find out what to do with the money.
Committee staff suspected something was wrong and advised her to cease communication with the scammers and contact the police.
