In the Naryn region, two schoolchildren died as a result of a traffic accident
Azizbek Ablabek uulu, head of the district department of the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety, reported that one of the teenagers was driving a Kia car, which also had two of his peers inside. All the injured were urgently hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Kochkor district hospital. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, two of them unfortunately died, while the condition of the third teenager is currently assessed as stable.
According to available information, on the day of the accident, the students' parents were in Bishkek, and the children took the car without their knowledge. The preliminary version of the incident indicates speeding as the main cause of the accident.
According to official data, in 2025, Kyrgyzstan recorded 8,456 traffic accidents, resulting in 900 deaths and 12,169 various injuries. The main factors contributing to traffic accidents remain speeding, crossing into oncoming traffic, driving under the influence of alcohol, and the poor condition of some roads.
