A resident of the city posted a video on social media, in which she reported that after picking up her son from kindergarten No. 12, she noticed bruises on his body.
The mother noted that her child had previously shown fear and cried when attending kindergarten.
After the video was published, the mayor of Karakol, Kanibek Adiev, stated that he had taken the situation under personal control.
According to sources in the Issyk-Kul regional department of internal affairs, on February 7, 2026, a local resident A.N., born in 1997, approached the police department in Karakol. In her statement, she described that her three-year-old son, born in 2023, had sustained bodily injuries in kindergarten No. 12 for unclear reasons.
The mother stated that when she picked up her son from kindergarten on February 7, he already had bruises on his arms and legs. When she approached the director of the institution, she did not receive a clear answer regarding this matter.
The statement has been registered in the electronic journal of the Karakol police department, and a preliminary investigation has been initiated. In connection with this, a forensic medical examination has been appointed for the boy.
“Currently, operational investigative measures and a preliminary investigation are being conducted. The case is under the control of the leadership of the Issyk-Kul regional department of internal affairs. Additional information will be provided based on the results of the investigation,” the police reported.
