According to law enforcement data, on January 14, 2026, a local resident born in 1989 approached the city internal affairs department. He reported that on the night of January 13 to 14, around 02:00, a theft occurred in one of the cafes. Unknown individuals stole 14,000 soms from the cash register and two smartphones of the "Redmi Note 9" model, with a total value of 17,000 soms.
This incident was registered in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Internal Affairs Department of Manas under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning theft, which led to the initiation of a criminal case.
As a result of joint operational actions by the staff of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region and the Criminal Investigation Department of the Internal Affairs Department of Manas, the suspects were identified — two men aged 34 and 36. They were taken to the investigative authorities. On February 2, 2026, the Manas City Court ruled to place them in custody for one month.
During the investigation, it was revealed that 34-year-old A. A. and 36-year-old Yu. A. may also be involved in other previously registered apartment thefts.
