Japarov also spoke about his personal losses.
“I lost three relatives. Not one, but three. In 2006, as a result of an accident caused by a drunk driver, my younger brother and sister-in-law died on the spot. They were in a 'Moskvitsh' car that was hit in the oncoming lane. They left behind four children who, although they sustained serious and minor injuries, fortunately survived and have grown up, starting their own families,” the president shared.
Also, in 2019, his eldest son died in a traffic accident. “This happened because the driver, perhaps, did not know the traffic rules or deliberately violated them by overtaking on a double solid line. He hit my son, who then flipped over and died,” Japarov added.
The tragedy in which Dastan Sadyr uulu lost his life occurred on August 22, 2019, in the village of Kok-Jar, which was previously part of the Alamudun district.
At the time of the accident, Dastan was riding a motorcycle and was moving up 7 April Street. Around 10:25 PM, he collided with a Toyota Matrix, after which he was thrown and struck a Lexus 330.
The young man fell into a coma and passed away on August 26, never regaining consciousness. The driver of the Toyota was found guilty in the accident. Sadyr Japarov forgave him.
