In Bishkek, a driver did not yield to a child at the crosswalk and was fined

On February 3, the press service of the Patrol Police Department reported the issuance of a protocol against a driver who failed to yield to a child at a crosswalk.

According to information from the Department, the driver was given a preventive talk aimed at preventing similar incidents in the future.

The Patrol Police Department reminded that according to paragraph 14.2 of the Traffic Rules of the Kyrgyz Republic, if a vehicle has stopped or slowed down before an unregulated pedestrian crossing, drivers of other vehicles in adjacent lanes must continue moving only after ensuring that there are no pedestrians near the stopped vehicle.

In addition, representatives of the patrol service urged parents to teach their children the rules of safe street crossing.
