According to law enforcement information, on January 31, 2026, a call was received at the duty station of the Karakol City Department of Internal Affairs from an ambulance, reporting that a resident of Karakol, born in 1992, had been taken to the hospital in critical condition and placed in intensive care. Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of the medical staff, the woman passed away.
After the report was registered, a preliminary investigation was initiated. An investigative team went to the Issyk-Kul Regional Hospital. It was established that the deceased was M.O., born in 1992. Preliminary data indicates that she ingested 80% vinegar, which led to severe burns of the internal organs.
During the investigation, the ex-husband of the deceased, K.E., born in 1990, was interrogated. He stated that he had been married to M.O. since 2011, and they had two children. In September 2025, the couple divorced but continued to communicate. According to him, on the day of the tragedy, he drove the woman home and handed her the keys to the apartment. Later, she called him but was unable to speak. The man claims that he rushed to her but could not enter the apartment through the main entrance and went in through a secondary one, where he found M.O. in a serious condition in the kitchen. After that, he called an ambulance and asked neighbors for help.
According to police information, on February 1, 2026, the brother of the deceased, O.E., born in 1986, contacted law enforcement. He reported that M.O. was his sister and requested a legal assessment of the actions of her ex-husband, whom he believes is involved in her death.
Based on the results of the preliminary investigation, a corresponding decision will be made in accordance with the law.
