In Karakol, a woman died after drinking vinegar. The deceased's relatives accuse her ex-husband.

A woman who consumed vinegar died in a medical facility, and her relatives blame her husband. This was reported by the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region to the editorial office of Kaktus.media.

According to the police, on January 31, a report was received at the Karakol police department that a woman had been hospitalized for vinegar poisoning. The recorded case became the basis for initiating an investigation. The victim was identified as M. O., born in 1992. According to preliminary data, she ingested 80% vinegar, which led to severe damage to her internal organs, and she was placed in intensive care.

The woman's husband, K. E., born in 1990, was also questioned in this case. He stated that he had been married to M. O. since 2011, and they have two children. Despite their divorce in September 2025, they continued to communicate. On the day of the incident, he drove her home and returned the keys to the apartment. Later, she called him but was unable to speak. K. E. arrived at the specified address, found her in the kitchen, and called an ambulance.

Necessary examinations were assigned for M. O. On February 1, her sister, O. E., born in 1986, approached the Karakol police department, claiming that her ex-husband was responsible for the tragedy.

On February 2, the woman died in the hospital without regaining consciousness. In connection with this, the investigative authorities of the Karakol police department initiated a criminal case under the article "Driving to suicide" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is ongoing.

According to sources in law enforcement, the deceased's husband works in one of the divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Karakol.
