According to available data, the elderly woman was heading to a store located in the same building when municipal services were clearing the roof of snow and ice. The area was not cordoned off, and a chain of icicles fell on her.

Witnesses of the event tried to warn the woman about the danger, but they were unable to prevent the tragedy. Arriving at the scene, doctors confirmed her death — she died from the injuries sustained.
