Present at the meeting were leaders of various regional institutions and organizations, as well as mayors and akims of districts and cities. This information was presented, emphasizing the rise in the number of traffic accidents, particularly along the Bishkek—Osh highway, where 354 accidents were recorded out of the total.
As a result of these incidents, 1,246 people sustained various injuries and sought medical assistance. Negative statistics also indicate an increase in the number of accidents among minors. In particular, the statistics for the city of Manas show a rise of 62.5% — from 96 to 156 traffic accidents. Comprehensive measures must also be taken by local self-government bodies and emergency services.
