At least 13 people died in the collapse of a gold mining mine in Sudan
As a result of the collapse of a gold mining mine in Sudan, at least 13 people have died.
The incident occurred in South Kordofan in southern Sudan, as reported by the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, which oversees the mining sector.

On its official Facebook page, the organization confirmed that the collapse occurred in five abandoned mines at the "Um-Fakrun" mine located in the village of Abu Jubaiha.

Among the victims are individuals who are still reported missing.

According to information, the miners entered the closed area of the mine to engage in illegal mining. Their actions led to damage to the supporting structures of the mines, which caused the collapse.
