The incident that occurred on January 26 in the village of Furkat resulted in injuries to five schoolchildren, one of whom is in intensive care. All details were provided by the school administration and medical staff.

According to Nurila Sydykova, three of the injured are students from her institution.

“Two of them are in the third grade, and the younger brother is in the second. They were waiting for their mother after classes when a driver, possibly under the influence of alcohol, hit them at high speed. Parents were called immediately, and the children were taken to the hospital. The older sister, whose condition was satisfactory, was discharged home. The younger brother was hospitalized in intensive care, and the condition of the third student is stable. The class teachers also visited the children in the hospital,” she noted.

The director of the Osh interregional children's clinical hospital, Zhyrgalbek Tolorov, reported that the condition of most of the children is satisfactory, and they were sent home.

“Yesterday, two children arrived at the emergency room by ambulance. The traumatologist conducted an examination and an X-ray. Their overall condition was good, no serious injuries were found, and the children were discharged home,” he added.

Additionally, two girls injured in this traffic accident were sent to us at 16:50 from the Osh interregional unified clinical hospital. They were examined by a traumatologist, and the X-ray showed soft tissue bruises on their arms. The girls were placed in a short-term observation unit and discharged the next day as their condition stabilized.

According to information from the Osh interregional unified clinical hospital, the condition of the boy, a second-grade student, is very serious. He is in a coma and connected to a ventilator, diagnosed with a fracture of the left leg and compression of the chest and abdomen.

Earlier, Turmush reported that on January 26, a traffic accident occurred in the village of Furkat, located in the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region.

According to eyewitness accounts, the accident occurred on the Bishkek—Osh highway.

The Traffic Safety Department of the Osh region's Internal Affairs confirmed the information about the incident. The incident occurred at 14:50 on the 663 km of the Bishkek—Osh road, near the village of Furkat.

According to available data, the driver of the "Honda Step," born in 1998, named K. uulu M., was driving at high speed from north to south and hit the schoolchildren who were on the pedestrian crossing on the west side of the road. The injured were residents of the village of Furkat: A.A., born in 2018, her sister A.A., born in 2016, and O.A., born in 2019.

After the collision, the driver crashed into a "Daewoo Tico" parked on the same side of the road, owned by a resident of the village of Torgoy-Bulak, born in 1991, named K. uulu K., and pinned it against a "Mercedes-Benz Atego 1217," driven by a resident of the village of Shibe, born in 1995, named G. uulu T. This led to the accident.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the "Daewoo Tico" and his sons — K.U., born in 2015, and K.A., born in 2018, were injured and sought medical attention at the Osh regional hospital.

According to the Traffic Safety Department, the vehicle was sent to a towing lot, and the case materials were transferred to the investigative authorities.
