In Bishkek, a drunk driver initiated a half-hour chase

An incident involving a drunk driver occurred in Bishkek, where on January 25 at 02:00, at the intersection of South Highway and Zhukeev-Pudovkin streets, UPMS officers attempted to stop a Lexus LX 570 for a document check. However, as reported by inspector of the UPMS press service Nadyrbek Jusupov, the driver ignored the request and began to flee.

The chase lasted about thirty minutes, during which the violator committed 15 traffic violations. After he was finally stopped, he attempted to leave his vehicle and escape, but was apprehended and taken to a narcological institution. The examination confirmed that he was in a state of alcohol intoxication.

As a result, a protocol was drawn up against the driver, and a fine of 85,000 soms was imposed. The vehicle was placed in a towing lot, and the case materials were sent to court to consider the issue of revoking his driver's license.
