A statement was filed with law enforcement on January 14 by a resident of the capital. She reported that through the Instagram account bella_gadane.kg, the fraudster tricked her into giving 523,366 soms, promising to "open the way" to success. After receiving the money, the victim was blocked and could not contact the fraudster.
The case has been registered in accordance with Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
Employees of the Oktyabrsky Department of Internal Affairs arrested the suspect, known as B.E., born in 1993, and placed her in a temporary detention facility.
During the search, mobile phones, bank cards, advertising materials, business cards, a Quran, a prayer book titled "Kabyil bolgon dualar," an old book with yellowed pages and a symbol resembling a Celtic knot of the Trinity, a Tarot deck, as well as banknotes resembling 100-dollar bills, were found in the possession of the detainee. All seized items were attached to the case.
