A man who systematically tortured his own mother was detained in the Chui region

A 48-year-old man has been detained in the Sokuluk district of the Chui region, suspected of regularly committing physical and psychological violence against his mother. This was reported by the press service of the regional police department.

A 67-year-old woman contacted the police on January 3, stating that her son, while in a state of alcohol intoxication, had repeatedly oppressed her both physically and morally.

For further investigation, the victim was sent for a forensic medical examination. Specialists determined that she had sustained minor harm to her health, resulting in temporary disturbances.

In this regard, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 138 "Torture" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility, and necessary investigative actions are currently being carried out.

The Chui region police department clarifies that cases of domestic violence are under special control by law enforcement agencies and always receive appropriate legal assessment. Criminal liability is provided for committing physical and psychological violence.
