Employees of the UPSM in Bishkek stopped a driver who was operating a vehicle while intoxicated. This was reported by the press service of the department.

According to the agency, a signal was received at number 102 indicating that the driver of a Hyundai Palisade was consuming alcoholic beverages at the intersection of Akhunbaeva and April 7 streets, near the Globus hypermarket.

Patrol officers promptly arrived at the scene and confirmed the information. Additionally, a review of surveillance cameras confirmed that the man was indeed behind the wheel while intoxicated.

During the investigation, the driver refused to comply with the lawful demands of the officers and did not hand over the keys to the vehicle. As a result, the car had to be towed to an impound lot.

A report was filed against the offender. The UPSM emphasized that driving under the influence of alcohol poses a serious threat to public safety.
