Initially, it was reported that the fire engulfed the building of the Public Service Center (PSC), however, the fire actually started in the cargo area.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, this large building houses shops, various organizations, and the PSC. Incorrect information appeared on social media stating that the PSC was on fire, but in reality, the fire originated in the cargo area — a point for issuing goods from China located in this building. Firefighters responded quickly and successfully extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring retail outlets.
It is reported that the fire was completely extinguished by 15:10.
To combat the fire, two fire brigades from the city fire and rescue department No. 27 were dispatched at 13:51.
The area affected by the fire was 90 square meters.
Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
