Subaru driver was involved in an accident, then decided to flee and crashed fatally.
Witnesses of the event reported that the man lost control, causing his vehicle to collide with another vehicle. After the incident, he attempted to flee but lost control of the car again, leading to the vehicle leaving the road. According to preliminary data, the driver died at the scene from his injuries.
According to the press service of the traffic safety department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, the accident occurred on January 8, 2026, around 02:00. The driver of the "Subaru Legacy," A. uulu M., born in 1994, was traveling on the Bishkek–Osh highway from west to east at high speed when he rear-ended a "Kia Optima," which was also moving in the same direction near the intersection of Frunze and Moscow streets in the village of Romanovka.
After the collision, the driver of the "Subaru" left the scene and continued eastward. Approximately at 02:30, while driving the same vehicle on the road in the village of Romanovka, he lost control and crashed into a tree located on the left side of the road.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the "Subaru Legacy," A. uulu M., succumbed to his injuries at the accident site.
The vehicle was placed in the impound lot of the car market, and necessary examinations were appointed.
