Driver of a private school in Osh suspected of lewd acts against a seven-year-old student — her mother made a statement

A seven-year-old daughter was subjected to sexual harassment. This was reported by citizen Mukhabat Kadyrova on January 7 at a press conference in AKIpress-Osh.

A resident of the city of Osh demanded punishment for the driver who transports students from one of the private schools.

According to Kadyrova, her daughter has recently become afraid to go to school. During the holidays, the girl told her mother about what had happened. "I appeal to the esteemed President Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Japarov and the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev for help. My daughter studies at one of the private schools in the city of Osh. The school transport driver, who transports students, harassed my daughter. She always got off last. He took advantage of this: he gave her a drink from a small plastic bottle, after which she fell asleep. Then he took her to a secluded place, touched her genitals, harassed her, kissed her — committed similar acts. When my daughter said she didn't like it, he pinched her and threatened her. After that, she came home and cried alone, waking up at night in tears from fear. Every day she said, 'I don't want to go to school' and cried. When I asked 'Why?', she replied that she had quarreled with her classmates. She became aggressive and often argued with her sisters. I found out about this during the school holidays. My daughter asked, 'Mom, should I go to school or not?'. I replied, 'It's the holidays now.' She said, 'Then this person won't bother me.' I asked, 'Who is bothering you?'. She replied, 'The school driver. Every day, when all the kids get off, he gives me juice. After the juice, I fall asleep, he takes me to a secluded place and touches me there, harasses me.'

This happened not just once, but regularly. My brothers and I took this driver to the police, but they did nothing. He is free, walking around with his lawyer. If he remains free, what will happen to the daughters of other mothers like me?! He works in public transport. If he is fired from this school, he will find a job at another one. What will happen to other girls? I have two more daughters, and I am afraid for them. Therefore, esteemed President, esteemed Kamchybek Kydyrshaevich, I ask for your help," she said.

Kadyrova stated that the results of the examination are not yet ready, and the police have not conducted sufficient investigative actions so far. "No, the police did not provide proper assistance. They did not provide my daughter with a psychologist. She has been summoned for questioning multiple times. The child's mental state has suffered greatly: she cries at night, is afraid, and has become aggressive. Now she is afraid of men, even male doctors," said the resident of Osh.

Mukhabat Kadyrova's daughter studies at one of the private schools in Osh.

The school principal, Rustam Salimov, stated that the staff is interested in a fair investigation of the incident. "At that time, I was on a business trip abroad. On January 4, the administrator informed me by phone about what had happened. We, the school staff, are interested in having the case investigated fairly. Such things contradict our mentality. As for the driver — we hire drivers after an interview. He is not on staff, he works under a contract. This driver has worked with us for about a year. There have been no such reviews about him before. We are categorically against such actions. Right now we cannot contact this driver," he said.

The press service of the Osh City Department of Internal Affairs reported that two statements have been received regarding this matter, both of which are under investigation by the investigative service. "The first statement was received on January 3 from a resident of the Kara-Suu district, born in 1990. In it, she indicated that the driver of one of the private schools in Osh — a man born in 1978 — committed 'sexual acts of a depraved nature' against her daughter, born in 2018. A criminal case has been registered under Article 158 ('Depraved Actions') of the Criminal Code, and necessary examinations have been appointed. No bodily injuries were found during the initial examination. The victim girl, in the presence of her legal representative, lawyer, social educator, and child protection service employee, was unable to give testimony several times. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to establish the circumstances. A final legal assessment will be given after receiving the conclusions of the examinations, which are not yet ready.

The second statement was also received on January 3 — from the driver himself, born in 1978. He claims that residents of the Kara-Suu district illegally deprived him of his freedom, holding him for about 12 hours in one of the houses in the district with his hands tied with wire, beating him, and demanding that he confess to committing depraved actions against the seven-year-old girl. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 169 ('Illegal Deprivation of Freedom') of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway. The statements were received four days ago, and the investigation continues. Additional information will be provided upon completion of the investigation," the statement said.
