The international digital forum Digital Qazaqstan – 2026 took place in Shymkent, with the participation of Adylbek Kasymaliev, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers and head of the president's administration of the Kyrgyz Republic. This information was received from official sources of the cabinet of ministers.

Before the forum began, participants, including the heads of governments of the EAEU countries and delegations from invited states, took a group photo, after which digital projects were presented at an exhibition held as part of the forum.

The exhibition showcased the latest digital solutions aimed at improving citizens' lives and protecting the environment.

Following this, a plenary session took place, during which Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that technologies are rapidly transforming our daily lives. Every day we witness new discoveries in fields such as medicine, biology, physics, and chemistry, shaping our understanding of the future.

He also added: “The export volumes of residents of the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic account for about one percent of the country's GDP, which indicates the creation of a new technological base for the economy. We are purposefully moving towards the goal of reaching a three percent contribution to GDP by 2030. Artificial intelligence is no longer just a topic for discussion, but a reality being implemented in our hospitals, schools, and industrial enterprises. Kyrgyzstan recognizes this reality and is taking systemic measures. The National Council on Artificial Intelligence operates in the country,” he noted.

Furthermore, the head of the cabinet of ministers pointed out important tasks facing the Union, including the application of modern technologies for monitoring tailings storage facilities with water resources and radioactive waste, as well as addressing environmental issues.

“Preserving and developing the languages of the peoples of our region in the era of artificial intelligence presents both a challenge and an opportunity. We plan to create open data repositories in the Kyrgyz language, develop language models and machine translation systems. We also propose to consider initiatives for creating a digital financial hub for the post-Soviet space and a credit conveyor for IT companies and enterprises working in the field of artificial intelligence,” he added.

During the plenary session, important contemporary topics were discussed, including digital mining, cryptocurrency exchanges, cybersecurity, education, and corporate innovation. The forum brought together representatives from government agencies, businesses, major IT companies, startups, as well as experts and investors in the field of international digital economy.

The main focus of the forum was on the implementation of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in various sectors such as industry, public administration, social services, and education, as well as the development of intersectoral and interregional cooperation within the framework of the digital economy at national and Eurasian levels.
