- The Eurasian Economic Commission has made changes to the rules regarding the determination of the country of origin of certain categories of goods used in public procurement within the EAEU.

These changes will come into effect on April 15.

Thanks to these innovations, businesses will be able to register 31 new product items in the Eurasian register of industrial goods, including pesticides, fuel additives, special types of polyethylene, as well as epoxy and alkyd resins, generators, cash registers, computers, and monitors.

In addition, a mechanism has been introduced into the rules that allows for prior notification of the Commission and member states about any changes in national legislation concerning the confirmation of the country of origin of goods for public procurement purposes.

Note:

The Eurasian register of industrial goods is intended to ensure access to public procurement in EAEU countries, where preferences, restrictions, and prohibitions on goods from other member states and/or third countries apply.
