The economic development of Kyrgyzstan in 2025, reaching a level of 11.1%, was made possible by targeted reforms and an active investment policy, as noted by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaiev in an interview with the Interstate Television and Radio Company "Mir".
He emphasized that one of the significant factors was the renewal of investment legislation, resulting in the adoption of a new version of the law. Additionally, the practice of annually opening at least 100 new industrial and agricultural enterprises has been implemented, which has already yielded positive results.
Kasymaiev noted: “Last year, over 270 thousand new jobs were created. Investments in fixed assets increased by 18.4%. For the current year, 113 enterprises have been approved with a total investment volume of 2.6 billion dollars and the creation of more than 12 thousand new jobs.”
He also highlighted the importance of debureaucratization, as a result of which the Minister of Justice was granted the status of Deputy Prime Minister.“There is a program called ‘Government Accelerators,’ which was borrowed from the United Arab Emirates. We identify problems in the provision of services to the population and businesses. This process includes defining the problem, appointing responsible state bodies, and establishing a 100-day deadline for resolution. Last year, 12 such programs were adopted, which significantly reduced the time for issuing documents, permits, and licenses in construction and other areas,” he added.
Kasymaiev noted that simplifying procedures, eliminating duplicative functions, and introducing personal responsibility for projects have created favorable conditions for both new and existing enterprises.He also pointed out that production capacities are developing across the country, with a particular focus on regions, which helps reduce internal migration and ensure employment for the population outside major cities such as Bishkek and the Chui region.
