Mineral extraction in Kyrgyzstan increased by 47.2% in January-February, amounting to 14.5 billion soms

- At the beginning of 2026, based on the results of January and February, the volume of mineral extraction in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 14.5 billion soms, which corresponds to an increase of 47.2% compared to the same period in 2025. This information was provided by statistical authorities.

In February 2026, the extraction volume reached 7.27 billion soms, significantly higher than the 4.72 billion soms recorded last year. The physical volume index for the month reached 152.8%.

The main factor behind this growth was the increase in the extraction of metallic ores, which in January-February amounted to 10.85 billion soms, 1.75 times more than in the same period last year.

A noticeable increase was also observed in the segment of other minerals, where production volume increased more than fourfold, reaching 270.5 million soms.

At the same time, the extraction of crude oil and natural gas showed a decline, with the physical volume index at 88.6% for the first two months of the year.

The extraction of hard and brown coal showed moderate growth, with a physical volume index of 107.6%.
