Sverdlovsk Region Plans to Process Ore Concentrates and Localize Metallurgy in Kyrgyzstan
According to him, a delegation of Sverdlovsk enterprises is currently negotiating the possibility of processing raw materials in the country, with the aim of reaching the stage of metal smelting. The process is planned to utilize Russian technologies, which will enhance the level of processing.
Alexandrin noted that the projects are currently at the initial stage of discussion and preliminary agreements. In particular, agreements have already been signed on tolling terms, and further steps will depend on economic feasibility and market volumes.
In addition, the possibility of creating joint ventures in the mining and energy sectors is being discussed. According to Alexandrin, decisions will be made taking into account market demand and sales potential.
He also added that trade cooperation between the regions is actively developing. In particular, supplies of agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan, including strawberries, have already begun to arrive in the Sverdlovsk region, and negotiations are ongoing regarding the supply of apples and corn.
Alexandrin emphasized that interaction between the parties is expanding in other areas as well. Kyrgyzstan traditionally participates in international exhibitions held in the Sverdlovsk region, including the industrial exhibition "Innoprom" and events dedicated to metallurgy and the mining industry.
