Mohtaba Khamenei Miraculously Escaped Death — Media
According to information from The Telegraph, Mojtaba Khamenei, the new Supreme Leader of Iran, miraculously survived.
Just moments before the rockets struck his residence, taking the lives of his father and other family members, he went for a walk in the garden.
An audio recording obtained by the publication indicates that the attack, which resulted in the death of his father and other high-ranking Iranian officials, was also aimed at Mojtaba Khamenei. At 9:32 AM on February 28, when Israeli ballistic missiles Blue Sparrow hit his home, he was outside.
In the recording made during a meeting on March 12 in the Tehran district of Kolhak, the head of the Supreme Leader's protocol service, Mazaher Hosseini, informs clergy and military commanders of the IRGC that Mojtaba Khamenei sustained leg injuries during the strike, his wife and son died instantly, and his son-in-law was beheaded. Hosseini says: "By God's will, Mojtaba went out to the yard to do something and then returned. He was outside and heading upstairs when the rocket hit the building. His wife Khaddad died instantly."
Among the victims of this strike, in addition to Ali Khamenei, were also Mohammad Pakpour, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran's Minister of Defense Aziz Nasirzadeh, and Air Force Commander Mohammad Shirazi.
