President: Slogans and actions that contradict the customs of the people are unacceptable
President Sadyr Japarov, in his speech at the Jogorku Kenesh, emphasized that holding peaceful rallies does not contradict the authorities' position, but it is important to adhere to the laws and respect the people's traditions.
He noted that there are currently restrictions on holding events near the buildings of the prosecutor's office and courts, and pointed to Gorky Park as a suitable place for organized activities. “By notifying the city hall in advance, it is possible to hold events without any problems,” Japarov added.
In his address to representatives of NGOs and activists, the president urged not to use slogans and actions that do not align with the mentality and customs of the people. “A group that makes up less than one percent of the population should not impose its rules on the rest. Calls to support one side are wrong, as the emotions of 7.5 million citizens are building up,” he stated.
