Illegal Recruitment of Foreign Labor Force Discovered in Bishkek
In Bishkek, employees of the Service for Counteracting Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate conducted an operation called "Illegal." This event aimed to identify violations of migration legislation.
During the raid, sewing workshops and other production sites were checked, where it was assumed that foreign citizens might be working.
As a result of the inspections, 64 foreign citizens were taken to the police. It was established that they arrived in Kyrgyzstan on visas issued by one organization, but were actually working in other companies, which violates migration rules.
Cases of illegal engagement of foreign labor were also recorded. Administrative protocols were drawn up against three employers under Article 93 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, with a total fine amounting to 65,000 soms.
Currently, measures are being taken regarding foreign citizens, including possible deportation from the country in accordance with the current legislation.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek calls on employers to strictly adhere to the requirements of migration legislation. Inspections and preventive measures will continue in the capital.
