Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic: The implementation of the Papanskaya HPP construction project continues
The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan reports that JSC "Chakan HPP" is actively promoting the construction project of the Papanskaya HPP.
Currently, the creation of temporary access roads to the future station building is nearing completion, with a total length of 9.2 km. Construction of a settlement for workers is also underway.
As part of the project, work is being done on land allocation and the design of a 110 kV overhead power line. At the same time, the preparation of necessary documents is ongoing, including approvals for conducting drilling and blasting operations to create a diversion tunnel.
Additionally, a preliminary environmental report (EIA) has been developed, which is necessary for participation in the Green Energy Fund competition. Based on its results, a land lease agreement for the construction of the HPP has been signed.
The implementation of this project will significantly increase generation capacity and improve the reliability of electricity supply in the southern regions of the country.
