Trump also added that Iran's "unconditional surrender" implies that he himself will decide when the threat from that state will be eliminated. According to the White House, it will take four to six weeks to achieve U.S. goals regarding Iran.

Previously, the president expressed hope for Iran's unconditional surrender, stating: "There will be no agreements with Iran, except for UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and after we choose a GREAT AND ACCEPTABLE leader, we will work to restore Iran, making it economically stronger and more successful than ever. IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. 'MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!)'", he wrote on Truth Social.

Additionally, Trump stated that he would not mind if Iran were led by a religious leader, adding: "It depends on who that person is. I have worked with many religious leaders, and they are wonderful," he said.

When asked if he wants to see a democratic state in Iran, Trump answered negatively. "It is important to have a leader who will be fair and honest, who performs his duties well and maintains good relations with the United States and Israel, as well as with other Middle Eastern countries that are our partners," he emphasized.

Thus, Trump's pragmatic approach to international relations demonstrates his willingness to work with any regimes in the interests of the U.S., contrasting with the ideological approaches of previous administrations.
