He began his career in the mid-1990s in manufacturing, where he gradually rose from a regular employee to a commercial director. In the late 1990s, he became a founder and board member of Alubond Composite Material and Roison Electronics.
During this period, he also began actively developing projects in the real estate sector, which became possible due to his role in the management of Murad Buildings. In the 2000s, Ulugbek started implementing large-scale projects, including international ones.
After gaining important experience at Renaissance Investment, in 2020 he and his partners founded the insurance company Semurg Insurance, where Ulugbek also became a member of the supervisory board. Semurg Insurance entered the market as an independent player focused on innovative approaches to insurance, emphasizing modern products and international risk management standards.
As EU Reporter emphasizes, a unique feature of the company is its independence from banks, which distinguishes Semurg Insurance from traditional business models in Central Asia. In the process of developing Semurg Insurance, Ulugbek expanded the company's product range by adding a number of social products.
Thus, Semurg Insurance was the first in Uzbekistan to introduce an agricultural insurance program that covers not only financial risks but also the harvest itself. The emergence of this unique offering in the market was made possible through collaboration with international partners, including the German InsuResilience Fund, Swiss Re, and several others.
Ulugbek Mirzamukhamedov actively supports environmental themes not only at Semurg Insurance. His concern for nature reflects his personal views, which are confirmed by his other initiatives.
For instance, he implements a number of programs aimed at environmental protection through his company Eco Carbon Services (ECS). It helps businesses assess environmental risks and reduce their carbon footprint, as well as creates infrastructure for carbon unit projects, participates in greening programs, and other initiatives. ECS utilizes international experience and implements Western standards, collaborating with American companies such as Climate Compass LLC, Verra, and British EcoEye Ltd.
Ulugbek also supports innovations in other fields. In 2021, with his active participation, the venture fund Semurg VC was established, aimed at developing technological entrepreneurship. Thanks to the fund, young entrepreneurs receive funding and access to the necessary infrastructure for growth.
The fund also implements additional programs aimed at improving business processes in startups.
