In opening the meeting, Almaz Baketaev emphasized the high standards of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations and noted that cooperation between the two countries is actively promoted within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative.
He also highlighted the need to strengthen financial interaction, pointing out that the successful implementation of major infrastructure projects requires the establishment of sustainable financial mechanisms and long-term funding sources.
During the meeting, the possibilities for expanding financial cooperation and interaction between the financial institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Shaanxi were discussed.
The Kyrgyz side presented proposals for developing partnerships with the financial structures of the province, including the creation of a joint investment fund to support small and medium-sized enterprises, the development of interbank cooperation, the opening of correspondent accounts in national currencies, and the development of financial instruments for cargo transportation along the China—Kyrgyzstan—Uzbekistan route.
The Chinese delegation proposed to consider the possibility of creating a bilateral financial servicing mechanism between Shaanxi and Kyrgyzstan, which includes the development of interbank operations, the opening of special credit lines, and the expansion of trade financing instruments and cross-border settlements.
As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further developing financial cooperation and strengthening partnership relations between the respective financial institutions.
