The issues of regulating natural monopolies were discussed at the EEC.
The meeting was chaired by Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the EEC.
The EAEU states are actively working on the development of laws and regulations concerning the operations of natural monopoly entities in key economic sectors, including rail transport and energy. The report also emphasizes issues of ecology and energy efficiency in the context of natural monopolies.
Participants of the meeting discussed the need for research aimed at assessing and exploring the prospects for harmonizing the legislation of EAEU countries in the regulation of natural monopolies. The results of this research will help formulate recommendations for further integration in this area.
